朱炜,美国ALABAMA大学教授。

1994年毕业于清华大学数学系。2004年在北京大学师从张恭庆院士获得硕士学位。

2004年在University of California, Los Angeles师从美国Tony F. Chan 院士(现在为香港科技大学校长) 获得博士学位。

2004年-2008年在美国Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences作博士后。

2008年至今在美国ALABAMA大学工作。

报告摘要:

Rudin-Osher-Fatemi model is one of the most popular variational models for image denoising. The remarkable feature of this model lies in its capability of keeping object boundary while also removing noise effectively. However, this model bears some unfavorable properties, such as the staircase effect. In the literature, many high-order models have been developed for staircase reduction. In this talk, we will discuss a novel lower-order image denoising model that could ameliorate the staircase effect largely. To minimize the proposed model efficiently, we use the alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM). We will also discuss the convergence analysis for the numerical method. Numerical experiments will be presented to demonstrate the performance of the new model.
